    How to Pay with Dogecoin

Dogecoin was built for payments — fast confirmations, fees under $0.001, and a growing list of merchants. Here is how to actually spend your DOGE.

    Who Accepts Dogecoin

Tesla accepts DOGE for merchandise through its online store. AMC Theatres accepts DOGE for movie tickets and concessions. Additional merchants accepting Dogecoin include NordVPN, Shopify stores (via payment processors), Newegg, and various independent online retailers.

Gift card services like Bitrefill and CoinGate allow you to purchase gift cards for major retailers (Amazon, Uber, Steam, and hundreds more) using DOGE, effectively enabling indirect spending at any retailer.

Merchant adoption continues to grow. Check individual retailer payment pages for current DOGE acceptance, as availability varies by region and payment processor.

    How to Make a Payment

Paying with Dogecoin is similar to sending any cryptocurrency transaction:

Step 1: Open Dogechain Wallet on your desktop.

Step 2: Click Send and enter the merchant's Dogecoin address (or scan a QR code).

Step 3: Enter the DOGE amount. Some merchants display the DOGE equivalent of a USD price; others require you to calculate it.

Step 4: Review the transaction details and confirm.

Dogecoin blocks are produced approximately every minute, so most payments confirm within 1-2 minutes. Network fees are typically under $0.001 USD.

    Payment Processors for Merchants

If you run a business and want to accept Dogecoin, payment processors handle the integration. BitPay, CoinGate, and NOWPayments support DOGE and can automatically convert received DOGE to fiat currency to reduce price volatility risk.

The Dogecoin Foundation's GigaWallet project provides an open-source merchant payment backend for developers who want to integrate DOGE payments directly.
